He graduated from MSU in 1971. He is a Doctor of Technical Sciences (1992), full professor (1998), full member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences (2004). He is the author of more than 150 on applied mathematics, modeling, computer graphics, image processing and pattern recognition. Under his supervision, 14 candidate theses were defended.
